Chaotic Pendulums
Interactive Exhibit
I designed and fabricated multiple variations of a chaotic pendulum to be displayed as part of an exhibit titled “Traces” in the Composite Gallery at the National Museum of Mathematics. I developed vector files, cut them out of acrylic on our laser cutter, and assembled them using precise rotational components. To allow visitors to safely manipulate these pendulums, I also designed and built custom light boxes to safely contain the moving parts.
